ABOUT ME:
Hi! I'm a Fine Art graduate from Loughborough University with a love for painting and a passion for working within contemporary art spaces. My creative practice is closely tied to the things that bring me joy in everyday life—whether that's walking my dog through the countryside, visiting new places, or simply soaking up colours, patterns and textures I come across while travelling. I’m always on the lookout for inspiration—whether it’s the light falling through trees, a striking gallery installation abroad, or the colour of a dish I’ve just tried for the first time.
These experiences help me build colour palettes and compositions that bring energy, emotion, and a real sense of place into my work. I find that painting allows me to capture fleeting feelings or atmospheres in a way that words sometimes can’t. Oil paint is my absolute favourite medium—I love the way it glides across the canvas, how expressive and tactile it can be. For me, the material itself can tell part of the story; there’s something about the texture and richness of oil that feels personal and alive.
That said, I also enjoy using acrylics and watercolours, especially for smaller works or when experimenting with new ideas. These allow me to be a bit freer and more spontaneous in my process, often acting as a jumping-off point for larger pieces.
Overall, my work is intuitive, playful, and rooted in real-world moments—transformed through colour, mark-making, and a love of storytelling through paint.
